Announcing “Raylets” – An exhibition of contemporary art by younger practitioners from Santa Fe and elsewhere.
Condensed and amorphous in its fluid state, freezing water abruptly braces itself in gleaming shafts of ice. Call these crystalline projections raylets. For “Raylets”, nine artists were invited to consider this phenomenon as a metaphor for agency, transformation, and visibility.
Instead of determining a theme, “Raylets” is an exercise in elaboration and alteration.
Despite the time of year, this show is not about ice.
